My journey into matchmaking began after two decades as a professional Recruiter — or as many people know it, a “Headhunter.” While I spent years connecting talented professionals with the right opportunities, what I was doing was matching people with a sense of purpose. At its core, the role of a Recruiter and a Matchmaker is remarkably similar: I introduce two individuals with a shared goal, facilitate the connection, and guide them through the process of building something meaningful. The only difference now? The outcome isn’t a job — it’s love.

Beyond my professional experience, my personal life has been its rich classroom in the art of connection. I’ve walked the same path that many of my clients are on today. I’ve swiped, messaged, and hoped. I’ve crafted clever bios, taken carefully curated profile pictures, and opened my heart to strangers who, in some cases, weren’t entirely honest about who they were. I’ve experienced the butterflies of a promising first date, the letdown of unmet expectations, and the heartbreak of hope that didn’t lead anywhere.

There were times I dated to fill the silence, to feel something, or simply because I didn’t want to give up on the possibility of love. I know what it feels like to keep showing up with courage, even after disappointment. I know the exhaustion of emotionally investing in connections that ultimately go nowhere. And I know the quiet strength it takes to stay open-hearted through it all.

But then, love found me — not through an app, but through people who saw a connection waiting to happen. Mutual friends introduced me to the man who would become my life partner. At the time, we lived an hour and forty-five minutes apart, and our paths likely would never have crossed if someone hadn’t played matchmaker. That experience taught me something crucial: sometimes, love just needs a little help finding its way.
